For large collections and personal wardrobes that are ready for a significant cleanout – we offer a convenient home pickup service for consignment clients in Minneapolis – St. Paul.
During this appointment, we can view your collection in person to help you determine which items are likely to sell, and which items you should keep or donate. Our team will assess the brand, approximate age, general condition, and other important characteristics of pre-owned designer clothing.
We do a basic examination of items for damage or defects. Due to time and environmental constraints, we cannot finish the item evaluation during your pickup. Your items will only be fully evaluated once they are transported to our office and then processed.
Eligibility for Pickup
Home pickup is an option reserved for consignment of high quantity and high value designer clothing. For new sellers without a client referral, the collection will need to meet a minimum value threshold. How should I prepare for the pickup appointment?
Here are some ways to prepare your clothing and shoes, so the pickup can be finished in a timely manner.
- Garments should be generally clean and ready to view, in a highly accessible location of your home.
- If you live in a condo or apartment, please share parking options in advance. If there is a moving or loading zone we can use, please let us know.
- If you have boxes, hangers, or garment bags that you’re willing to discard, please have them ready at your appointment time. We do bring some of our own storage supplies, but it helps to have extras on hand for large collections.
- Be organized with shoes paired and in their original boxes, if those are available. Receipts and other documentation can also be tremendously helpful during the resale process.
- Control your pets (and remove pet hair from all garments).
What if I still have questions about high value items, or the consignment process?
You can review our consignment agreement first, and ask any questions before we start the pickup process. This is the best time to bring up any questions about our pricing, or about special items that you would like to discuss before they are consigned to us. How will my items be transported?
When all items have been selected, we load them into the Mobile Menswear Market (i.e. the van), for safe transportation to our Minneapolis office.
Do you travel outside the Minneapolis / St. Paul area?
Based in central Minneapolis, we offer this service to consignment clients in the city as well as the suburbs – making regular trips to suburbs including Minnetonka, Wayzata, Excelsior, Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Edina, Mound, Orono, North Oaks, Sunfish Lake, Golden Valley or White Bear Lake.
If you’re located outside the Twin Cities metro area, please contact us for additional options. We routinely coordinate out-of-state shipments for consignors across the United States.
